City Lights

Somehow, we are all the same. As the light fades away and darkness starts to creep in, we become one. We change to something we are afraid of. We are all monsters.

Okay, that may be as creepy as hell or totally irrelevant but right now, my mind has started to be consumed again by dark thoughts. I don't know, maybe it was because I have been listening to indie musics for the past month and there's just something about it that makes you free in some sort of a way. I know I am not making any sense here but I was just inspired to post this new outfit shots we took weeks ago. I wore this to the Fashion Photography workshop then to the Style Origins fashion show at Bonifacio Global City where we took the shots. Inspired by the city lights, bokeh and glass reflections, there's a lot of things in the city that only the night lights reveal.

" Sunshine and City Lights will guide you home / You gotta know that I'll never let you go / Now we're stuck in midtown / Surrounded by people and nothing but sound / And we're going nowhere / And we are the lost and found "

Over the past few days, I've been wondering, what the hell should I do to have readers in my blog?? I am a fashion blogger and yet my photos sucks! My lookbook has quite some fans, I have a decent number of followers on Twitter and my fan page is damn drowning! With a cup of tea in hand, I imagined what I would like my blog to be. I have met a lot of great photographers and they have inspired me to become one as well though I still need to buy my own camera someday. But as for now, all I can do is borrow and let them take photos of me.

That's when this idea came up! Why not mix the two? Most fashion blogs I read doesn't have millions of fans, doesn't care about lookbooks, etc. So I have decided to abandon all of them and just enjoy posting and posting and posting. This time, I'll be going to experiment on showing outfit posts with a thematic style. Just like reading a magazine. This is my first ever post so I hope you enjoy it. :)

I have been a huge fan of everything vintage. There's something about the past that captivates me. I sometimes  often feel that I am just somebody trapped in the body of an 18 year old kid who is supposed to be living in the 60's-80's. The music is divine, the architecture is heavenly and there's just something about it that's so amazing!

Anyways, remember the Pizza Hut x Star Trek event..?? This is what I wore that night. Got Rudstin to take photos of me. It's actually a rush shoot and we were just talking while he takes pictures so most of the shots are really stolen and candid shots. Plus, been editing wildly so excuse for the exaggeration. Haha! Enjoy! :)

Everything is thrift. The power of thrift shops!! Got the top and pants for Php 10.00 each. The top is extremely large so I just altered it plus designed a new collar for it! Cool isn't it?

Mustache day!! Haha! Trying out some things.. totally random!

Dinner Buffet at Market Cafe, Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila

This week was a hell for me! Lots of stuffs to finish and events and seminars to attend. But when I got an invite to Hyatt Hotel’s Dinner Buffet, all the stress was gone. I instantly said that I would come. Come on, not everyone gets an invite right? Pretty awesome, I know!

So after iBlog9 day 1, I went directly to Manila to catch up. I had basically no sleep since the night before, I went to a debut party then headed straight to UP Diliman for the blog seminar.  Anyways, the place was insane! I just love their interior design and there was something so captivating about it. And Market Cafe was a heavenly place. It was fresh and the food was so good.

Being a seafood fanatic, I first went to their seafood area and went for the tempuras and california maki and sashimi. What’s nice about it is that they have a wide array of foods ranging from Japanese to Western to Oriental. I just love tempuras and theirs are really huge. I know I shouldn’t say this but I actually finished around 12 pieces of it. Define patay gutom (dead hungry)! That’s just how good it was.

And one thing I love about Market Cafe is that they serve everything fresh. If you are kind of new to this, the food will really overwhelm you. There’s a lot of raw stuffs everything. There’s the fish station full of different fishes like tuna an then there’s the meat section where the medallion, lamb chops, marinated steak and chicken are placed. When you are done choosing your meals, you can then head to the grill station where they will grill your orders instantly. Talk about that!
