Most of you probably know how much of a thrift person I am. And I just really like thrift shopping. And that doesn't just apply to clothes and accessories. I am a bookworm as well. And I was lucky to catch the book sale at National Book Store in Ortigas. And here's a rundown of what I bought.
It was all by accident. I just happened to pass by Ortigas after going to an interview. And I have a few money left. If I just knew it, I would have brought with me my allowance. But since Ortigas was quite far from our place, around an hour and a half drive away, all I was able to do was buy the best books I could buy. And most of them are really into design and architecture.
Love classic books! Original price: Php 225. Bought it for only Php 30.
If you are into architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright is a household name. Named as the man who revolutionized and landscaped American architecture, this book features 25 designs by Wright. What I really love about this book is that it shows the transition of Wright's design from his early years to his final decade. Learned a lot from this!! Original Price: Php 800+. Bought it for only Php 50.
Well this one's not actually from NBS but from BookSale. Got it for only Php 10.
Probably one of my prized possessions as of the moment, this coffee table book features the top 100 designs from various categories. This one is actually special since it's the tribute and final publication of the deceased bestselling magazine, Metropolitan Home. I love this because it shows a different side of modernism, based on perspectives by different designers.
Another coffee table book. It's about the DIY process of doing wallpapers. Includes instructions which I find really useful for designers like me! :)
